Born and raised in Derry, PA, Lauren Rose Thayer brings a unique blend of soul and grit to the country music scene with a sound she calls “rust belt country.” Now based in Nashville, Lauren’s musical journey began with a master’s degree in opera performance, but her path took a turn during the COVID-19 lockdown. Leaving behind a teaching career, she found herself drawn to songwriting, crafting lyrics and melodies that reflect both her roots and resilience.
Her debut record, Going Somewhere, released in June 2024, captures the heart of small-town life and the spirit of reinvention. Influenced by the storytelling of 90s country and the raw energy of 70s rock, Lauren’s music is a testament to chasing dreams and finding your voice no matter where life takes you.
