Shelby Lee Lowe

Raised up an hour south of Nashville in a place called Possum Trot, Tennessee, Shelby Lee Lowe is redefining what modern country music can be while honoring the traditions that built it. Blending neo-traditional country with Bakersfield grit and a Southern rock edge, Shelby delivers a sound that’s both timeless and unmistakably his own.

A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) with a degree in music business, Shelby paired education with instinct early on—signing his first publishing deal with Banner Music in Nashville in 2016. Since then, he has built a career as a full-time songwriter and performer, earning millions of streams on his debut album Stubborn Heart and cultivating a loyal and growing fan base across the country and beyond.

In 2025, Shelby made history by recording the first EP ever recorded at the legendary Jack Daniel’s Distillery—an achievement that reflects both his Tennessee roots and his commitment to authenticity. The project stands as a landmark moment in his career and a testament to his deep connection to the heritage of Southern music.

A commanding live performer, Shelby has shared stages and opened for country music icons and hitmakers including Charlie Daniels, Chris Janson, Darryl Worley, Brett Young, and Shooter Jennings—among many others. Whether commanding a packed honky-tonk or delivering an intimate acoustic set, Shelby’s powerful vocals and emotionally charged performances leave a lasting impression.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings, Shelby’s songwriting captures the raw, honest spirit that defines true country music. His conviction on stage and in the studio positions him at the forefront of the rebirth of traditional country.

Shelby Lee Lowe performs weekdays at Eric Church’s “Chief’s” on Broadway in Nashville, TN, and tours nationally, continuing to bring his brand of authentic country music to audiences everywhere.
