Dan and Reid Isbell, also known as The Brothers Hunt and hosts of the #1 Podcast God’s Country, hail from the hills and white oak hollers of Tennessee. As kids, they spent their days chasing whitetail deer and turkeys, and strumming guitars after the sun went down. After moving to Nashville and living on a boat for five years, they both landed professional careers as commercial songwriters. Albeit small, the entry-level income provided them gas money to hit the highways and travel the country to chase elk, antelope, and mule deer.
They’ve had their songs cut by major artists such as Luke Combs, Gabby Barret, John Pardi, ERNEST, Lainey Wilson, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert, Justin Moore, Scotty Mcreery, Drake White, Kameron Marlowe, Ashland Craft, Tucker Beathard, and Meghan Patrick, among others. The brothers recently partnered with Luke Combs on the number-one single, “The Kind of Love We Make.” Both Isbell’s live near Nashville, where they are raising their young families and hunting and fishing whenever they can.
God’s Country with brothers Dan and Reid Isbell is the #1 rollicking weekly podcast that sits at the intersection of country music and the great outdoors. Each episode explores how today’s biggest and most talented country stars and songwriters pull inspiration from rugged, first-hand relationships with the natural world.
Nashville songwriters by profession who spent their childhoods getting muddy in the wilds of Tennessee, Dan and Reid draw on their passion for hunting and fishing to lead a thought-provoking and fun exploration of the fundamental role of outdoor living in country music.
