The Vegabonds and Taylor Hunnicutt

The Vegabonds

Road dogging the southeast college scene while attending Auburn University is when The Vegabonds first began this journey. Through word of mouth, the group’s fan base rapidly grew, and the guys learned they had something distinctive with their eclectic mix of Rock n Roll, Country, Americana and earnest songwriting. Their popularity quickly burgeoned to the point where they found their fans singing word-for-word their first hits like “Georgia Fire” and “Shaky Hands.” From Texas to Virginia, students buzzed about

The Vegabonds, authentic sound and their seemingly effortless ability to bring the house down.
Their hard work and unbridled talents have not gone unnoticed; the group has opened for such notable acts as Lukas Nelson, Blackberry Smoke, Whiskey Myers, Gregg Allman and delivered rousing performances at major festivals all over the country. Mixed into all of this US touring the band has also flown across the pond and toured Europe three times.

A group of five musicians with myriad influences between them, The Vegabonds are fronted by lead vocalist and songwriter Daniel Allen, with Richard Forehand (lead guitar/vocals), Paul Bruens (bass), Beau Cooper (keys/vocals), and Bryan Harris (drums) rounding out the quintet.

Taylor Hunnicutt

A gritty, soulful southern rocker steeped in country, Taylor Hunnicutt crosses genre lines to give audiences a unique storytelling experience. Raised in a small rural town in Southwest Alabama, Taylor has found the sweet spot in-between Blues, Soul, Country & Americana. She has shared the stage with acts such as Joshua Ray Walker, 49 Winchester, Red Clay Strays, Mike and the Moonpies, Jo Dee Messina, Jaime Wyatt, Daniel Donato, Lilly Hiatt, Early James, Aaron Lewis, Rod Gator, Them Dirty Roses, Ward Davis and many more.

“With a voice that sounds like Stevie Nicks if she had been raised in the Black Belt, Hunnicutt bends genres between country, soul, blues and rock but settles sweetly in the Americana style of Tift Merritt, Ryan Adams or Amanda Shires.” – Michael Tomberlin Alabama News Center
