Sept 23rd will be Uncle B’s Damned Ole Opry 2nd annual Songwriters Spectacular feat Ashley Gorley, Tia Sillers, and Josh Osborne, Kat Higgins and more special guests. This show will feature over 100 Number-One hits. The people behind the songs step out and tell the stories of how these chart-toppers came to life; all backed up by a forest fire of a string band!

Uncle B’s Damned Ole Opry is Bryan Simpson’s irreverent trippy-trad tent revival of a musical experience currently in residence in the Neon Steeple at Chief’s on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee, It’s Billy Strings meets Barnum & Bailey, He-Haw meets Half-Baked. In short, a serious musical circus. Ashley Gorley

Ashley has written a record-breaking 70+ #1 radio singles, and has had more than 400 songs recorded by artists such as Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Dan + Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, Bon Jovi, Weezer, and more. His Grammy-nominated hit “Last Night,” reigned as the Number-One Hot 100 Song for a record-breaking 16 weeks, proving to be one of the biggest Country crossover hits of all-time. In the same year, Gorley was awarded ACM Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for Cole Swindell’s “She Had Me At Heads Carolina,” and landed ASCAP Country Song of the Year with Wallen’s “You Proof.” He was also awarded 2023 Songwriter of the Year (all-genre) by Variety at their prestigious Hitmakers event in Los Angeles. In 2022, he was honored as NSAI’s Songwriter of the Decade for 2010-2019. In 2011, Gorley formed his own publishing and artist development company, Tape Room Music. Tia Sillers

Taa Sillers is a Grammy Award winning songwriter who has had success with over 40 singles, including Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance,” The Chicks’ “There’s Your Trouble,” and Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s “Blue On Black.” “I Hope You Dance” received worldwide exposure, including the Nobel Prize awards ceremony and was adapted into a New York Times Best Selling book written by Sillers and her co-writer, Mark D. Sanders. In addition to winning Song of the Year at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards, “I Hope You Dance” was named Song of the Year by CMA, ACM, NSAI, ASCAP, and BMI. The song reached international success with a rendition recorded by Ronan Keating, a version by Gladys Knight featured in the Tyler Perry film, The Family That Preys, and has now become a staple during Chris Stapleton’s live performances.

Her songs run the genre gamut from Country to heavy metal — whether it be Alan Jackson’s “That’d Be Alright,” Five Finger Death Punch’s rendition of “Blue On Black,” or mgk performing “There’s Your Trouble” at 2024’s CMA Fest. Josh Osborne

After years of honing his craft, Grammy award winning songwriter Josh Osborne has become one of the go-to songwriters in Nashville, After scoring his first #1 song in 2012 with Kenny Chesney’s “Come Over”, Osborne has really been on quite a roll. Josh has become no stranger to the top of the Country Airplay charts with songs like “Drunk Last Night” by Eli Young Band, “My Eyes” and “Sangria” by Blake Shelton, “Leave The Night On” and CMA Nominated Song of the Year “Take Your Time” for top new artist Sam Hunt, “We Are Tonight” by Billy Currington, a second #1 with Chesney, “Wild Child” and Keith Urban’s chart topper, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16”. In addition to the #1’s, Josh has enjoyed radio hits with Chris Young, The Band Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Tim McGraw, Jake Owen and many others.

In 2014 Osborne was awarded the coveted Grammy award for Best Country Song which went to “Merry Go ‘Round” recorded by Kacey Musgraves. Also in 2014 Josh was honored by having his name added to the prestigious Country Music Highway which runs through the state of Kentucky and near his hometown of Virgie.

Josh is a multiple CMA award nominee, has 2 nominations for ACM Songwriter of the Year to his credit, and was also awarded the ASCAP Song of the Year for “Leave The Night On” at the 2015 ASCAP Awards. With nearly 90 recorded songs to his credit, Josh Osborne looks to continue to be a presence in the country music community.

Kat Higgins

Kat has written songs recorded by Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, The Lone Bellow and many more. From Vancouver, Canada, the songstress grew up singing Irish music with her family band. In her teen years, the band signed a record deal and had success at Canadian country radio. Kats love of songwriting drew her to Nashville and after the band went on hiatus, she began writing full-time for other artists. The BMG published writer is now ready to release her own music. American Songwriter Magazine says Kat has “an innate ability to write songs other artists can see themselves in.” Kat’s hope is that each person that listens to her music, feels seen and hears their own story.
